It is a favorite pastime to watch nature. Living in it, you know, there are critters, but there are leaves and there are trees and there are fruits and there are vegetables and this is the time of the year I watch the apples. They've been there in blossom form and then the leaves came and then the little green lumps basically and then some trimming happened and now we're sliding into home base with a Gravenstine apple.
Our beloved historic and delicious apple is getting all all those rich colors and flavors that we look for because this is the short time of the year where when those apples that were bred so that the whole family could harvest before the kids went back to school are just about getting at their absolute perfect moment to chomp on or to put in a pie. Savoring Sonoma, I'm Clark Wolf for KRCB.
