I read a social media post the other day that said that farm to table was so over. No, it's not. It never will be. In fact, it's been around forever and it always will be there. Now, the question is, what kind of farm and what kind of table? The bottom line is that everything we eat comes from a farm of some kind, even if it's a laboratory. It's a farm. A farm is a place where things grow that then become lunch or dinner or snacks.
So, farm the table may be a confusing thing that was very popular as a buzz word for some folks to market market market, but it will always be my favorite thing. I want to eat food that comes from a farm and comes to my table and here we can do that almost year round. Savoring Sonoma, I'm Clark Wolf for KRCB.
